Wedding Wreaths
After consulting with my mom and her flower friend while in Michigan- the final wedding wreath design was decided on. I am pretty happy with it if I do say so myself.
The felt flower pattern I used is from purl bee's rose barrette pattern,
and I purchased 12 styrofoam wreath bases for only like $30 with shipping from save on crafts. Great site if you are making bulk crafts- The wreaths were like $3.50 each at the craft store. Yay online shopping win!

Yap Wrap
So I was in a little boutique-y pet store the other day and came across these yap wraps.
And I thought they were so cute- but Chevy Chase (my fur baby Rat Terrier) is so broad chested they wouldn't fit him and I was sad.
But then I realized I could make one for him.
I made a prototype last night,
and am working on the finished product but it is pretty spot on.
I can't post a tutorial though, because I'm pretty sure that's infringing on yap's copyright,
but I will say it's pretty easy if you can just take measurements of your doggle where the little velcro straps are. Chevy is HUGE around his tummy and has a tiny little lemon head!

Lotta Jansdotter Checkbook Cover
I've gotten re-acquainted with my sewing machine lately, and took the long holiday weekend to make a few things, including this checkbook cover!! It was my first time making bias tape- and I'm pretty proud of how it turned out.
Overexposed- sorry!
I got the pattern from Lotta Jansdotter's book: Simple Sewing
which has some really easy and great patterns for things around the home.
Next project I want to try from the book is the oven mitts. We burnt through ours. Womp!
