Wedding Wreath number 2!

Updated wedding wreath.

This time it's a more circular circle and the yarn is a little tidier.

A vast improvement if I do say so myself!!

Do you recognize those little hearts? :)

Now only like 20 more to go. WooHoo!!!

Wedding Hearts

Another little project I'm working on for the wedding.

I'm crocheting tiny hearts in our wedding colors to throw on the reception tables.

They are super fast to whip up, but I have to make A LOT of them.

I figure if I make a few everyday I'll have enough in time for THE BIG DAY. 

What do you think? How many do you think I will need?

Here's a prototype of one of our wedding decorations.

Clearly it's uneven and not really perfect like I wanted, but I was just practicing ok- don't judge!

I'm thinking of hanging these from each pew- what do you think?

Ok its not really new but it is in a new spot and having a place for everything makes it feel new, our at least useful.

Felted mat!

Haven't done any knitting in a long time, and now that we have a washer and dryer I could finally felt a project I've had for awhile!
Its my first time felting believe it or not and it was super fun watching the circles shrink.

Absence

Sorry I have been so absent! Moving and issues at work have made it tough to get much done, but I'm back on track and will be updating soon!

That wedding is in 4 months- I've got a lot to get done!

Latest News!

Sorry for not updating more, a lot with my life has gotten crazy lately. Work has been dramatic, and we're moving in a week so there's a lot going on in my non blog life. Since all my crafty happies are packed up- It'll be another week or so before I have a good update with substance, I appreciate your patience!

But I can tell you that we booked our honeymoon to CABO BABY!!!

Interview with Radical Design Manifesto

My dear friend Derron runs a blog called the Radical Designer's Manifesto on tumblr, and recently featured me on his blog with an interview. Homemade Mini

I'm back!

I needed to catch up on a lot of things, so I took a mini break from the blog- but I am back!

First thing to update is that I'm completely bored with my wardrobe!

So I decided I'm going to start making my own clothes. 

Last night I decided to whip up this little mini- which was super easy and fast. 

I had a coworker take these photos.

 

and then I tried to take a close up of myself and it turned out funny- but I still like it.

I plan on making many more of these skirts- and will post a tutorial of it also.

Alive again

Sorry I've been MIA for the last week or so- I worked 72 hours last week! I'm going to rest my brain and I'll be back to blogging next week. :)

Look what we got!

The rings!!!!!

I gave them to my mom for safe keeping, but I wanted to wear it wear it wear it so much. I am told though, that wearing the wedding ring before the wedding is bad luck. 

I'm back in SF now and glad to be- it was COLD in Michigan. Geez. But we did accomplish a whole lot. Picked a venue, and a date: SEPTEMBER 23RD. 

Now the real countdown begins I suppose. 

241 days to go.

It sounds like a lot- but it really isn't. We've still got a ton to do. But it WILL get done!
