Only Water!

After hearing a startling fact about how many calories we drink in a day- I am going to try to just drink water and tea instead of my 2 cups of coffee and sodas in the afternoon. I'm curious to see if I lose any weight simply by cutting those out of my diet. I'll still have a drink or two at a bar or social gathering, but I'm doing this more as an experiment than any sort of body self conscious thing. Don't worry. I'm not trying hard to lose weight or anything.

Anyway. Lots of water for me!

It's Movember!

In case you aren't familiar with Movember, it's Moustache November- it's a cause to raise money and awareness about prostate cancer and lots and lots of men across the country are growing out MOUSTACHES! A ton of guys at my work are participating and we are having a little happy hour tonight to finish the month off. 

Not to be left out, I made myself a moustache really quickly just sewing some fabric and stuffing it and hot gluing it onto some chopsticks. Classy, I know. I think I look pretty good with a moustache - what about you?

Speaking of moustaches, have you seen my friend Katie's mounted staches? She added a new one to her shop...

I was Sailor Moon for Halloween. Google it if you don't know who she is.

She's AMAZING. lol. A lot of people didn't know what I was- but the people who did know were super excited.

My unwise outfit

So I wear things on the weekend that I don't normally wear during the week, just because I can, and because it's fun to dress differently once in awhile. I made an unwise outfit choice this past weekend though. I put this outfit on and thought to myself that I looked cute and fun, but didn't even think about how it would be perceived to the outside world. I'll tell you how I looked to the outside world. Like a ho.

I learned this by walking around in SF's Mission district before getting my hair cut, and subsequently getting honked at, cat called, and whistled at. I did not appreciate this, and though flattering at first, you start to feel really dirty after the 3rd and 4th times. My fiancé just laughed at me. 

I asked Mr. Rockit why he didn't tell me my outfit was so distractingly risque, and he equated it to having a child that's like I WANT TO WEAR PAJAMAS! and being so excited about it, you can't tell them not to. So he let me out of the house looking like a tramp. Apparently. 

Anyway, here is the outfit. (sort of) Tell me what you think? I still don't understand what made it so scandalous. I think it may be the high socks. Either way, I'm only wearing this outfit in the Castro from now on.

Got a haircut.

Can't really see it. But it's cool.

Made a bow-tie for Derronasaurus also.
