Bummer

I officially love the Twilight series. I started the fourth book today- after a weekend long of reading the first three ( I know, crazy) and I'm trying not to read this one too fast- mostly because I get nothing else done and forget to eat and sleep. Ahaha.

I'll give it to Stephanie Meyer, she's not that great of a writer, and she uses words like irrevocably entirely too much, but she's created quite a cast of characters that is hard not to get drawn into. Hard not to get completely obsessed with. So much that while I'm not reading and pining, all I think about are vampires and werewolves. Bella and Edward; Bella and Jacob; Alice and Jasper AHHHH. Ahahaha. Is it possible that I have a very addictive personality? Yes. Likely. But just as likely is that some part of us wants that ridiculous sort of life. I know I do. Still want to run for my life. Or at least have something more exciting in it.
Anyway.

Have you always been a Mormon?

we're not mormon.

New Project

So I've been making a few things since I've got some time.

Here is Chevy's new sweater in the making :)

It's a little femme, I know, but so is Chevy.

weeeooo weeeoooo

I hate how many sirens are always going off here. Not really- but it does get a bit annoying, especially when it's night and I'm tres sleepy.
This weekend was long - I took Chevy to Prospect Park and walked forever- when I got back he just laid down and didn't get up for several hours. I love it.
Bridget, your shower is possessed. I did what you told me to- left it on to get warm where the pressure was the strongest, but it did not work. So I don't know what is going on- but I might just be washing my hair in the sink from now on. :)

It's up to you....

So it's almost been a full week since I've been here and it's been going quite well! I feel pretty at home here- navigating around the subways with little problem, and the business doesn't really bother me like I thought it might. I love getting to see my friends- and although BK seems a bit far from the city- it's okay cuz everyone is around here anyway. So I guess this is it! New York! I don't know how long it takes one to become a New Yorker, but I'm not gonna lie- it's a lot more fun to say I live in NYC than Minnesota. Let's be honest here. Alright cats, gotta get back to being a New Yorka.

Weeeooooo

I have no updates for you on the moving process. There are 2 days left and all I can do is watch Criminal Minds marathons. Sorry Mr. R.

Carly Simon

Alo! Last night I went to a Depeche Mode concert! It was ridiculous. There's nothing like watching middle aged people dancing around unabashedly.

We're going to drive to New York. It'll be about 20 hours. Wish me luck- I don't know if I'll make in in one piece. It's just way too expensive to travel with my animal children, and since I'm not planning on having any babies anytime soon- this is what I've got! Hope the cats will do okay in the car... I'm going to miss not having Chevy Button with me all the time, but Mr. Rockit's friend is excited to watch him so this will work out well.
My dog has started playing with the cat litter. Gross huh? I'm looking at him right now and he's licking his lips. Disgusting.

On a lighter note, I've been using Sensodyne on my teeth. I will let you know how that works out.

Leftovers

Mr. Rockit and my one year anniversary is tomorrow.
Wild huh? We've been through quite a bit I must say,
moves, NY to Minneapolis to Florida to NY.
Mentally ill roommates...
Lordy.
"Oh I feel like I've known you forever"
:)
Thanks Bridge, PS for making this all happen right?

I'm quite excited for this new chapter to start.
Almost done with work- 2 more days of that, then to the dreaded packing. Really what I'm excited about is having another week w/o work because I really want to get some knitting done.

Wow that's lame.

Waiting is my LEAST favorite game, especially when it's for a move. I always think I'll have enough to do to keep busy- but it's never the case. I never do anything until the last minute so in the meantime I just think.
OMGWHATAMIGOINGTODOWHATDOIHAVETOPACKDOIHAVEENOUGHMONEY ISCHEVYGOINGTOBEOKONTHEPLANEARETHEYGOINGTOLETMEONTHEPLANE?

Travelling with pets is difficult, PS, but not as difficult as I always think it will be. I'm always afraid Chevy's carrier size will be too large- but honestly I think they don't even check. When I flew down here they hardly look at Chevy or the carrier. So hopefully US Airways has the same leniency.

Okay- I'm talking nonsense- I'm going to eat some rice and watch Bones on TNT.
