Only Water!

After hearing a startling fact about how many calories we drink in a day- I am going to try to just drink water and tea instead of my 2 cups of coffee and sodas in the afternoon. I'm curious to see if I lose any weight simply by cutting those out of my diet. I'll still have a drink or two at a bar or social gathering, but I'm doing this more as an experiment than any sort of body self conscious thing. Don't worry. I'm not trying hard to lose weight or anything.

Anyway. Lots of water for me!

Bazaar Bizaarre is having a craft show this weekend the 11-12 at Fort Mason, I met one of the guys that is a part of this board, and they're really cool and have a really sweet sort of vaudeville feel to them.

And my ever favorite Renegade Craft Fair is having a holiday in a couple weeks in SoMa! I looved the last show they did, and I can't wait to see the 250 some artists this time around. It'll be a good chance to maybe score some last minute Christmas gifts, 

Chicago is having their's right now, so if you're in the area check that out, and LA is having their's on the 11th and 12th as well!

A side note about what's going on lately in my life: I just discovered that I will have to get a retreatment on a previous  root canal! That's going to cost me a pretty penny, even with my insurance! I'm getting that on Wednesday, so hopefully all will go well. It's actually pretty scary. If everything goes well it'll just be a dent in my pocket, if everything DOESN'T go well it could be bad. If they break my crown I'll have to go to a different dentist to make a new one, which I will have to wait until January because my insurance has run out for the year (I have a PPO). If the root canal doesn't work to remove the infection at my root, I'll have to get SURGERY or they'll just pull the tooth. WHAT. Toothless Betty, that's what they'll be calling me. :\

I was hoping I could buy my wedding dress with that money, but oh well. I'll find a dress. Teeth are kind of important anyway right? And eyes. Teeth and eyes, that's what I will always be willing to shell out money for. I have bad both of them unfortunately.

Anyway. I'm sure it'll be fine. And even if it isn't, I'll be okay. I'll figure something out - I always do.

Christmas Tree

We've put our Christmas Tree up finally! It feels like the atmosphere has completely changed- I am so excited for the holidays I can't wait. This year we are staying in SF, but going back home to the Midwest in January because it's way too expensive to fly home for Christmas. That's okay though. I get a ton of time off of work, so I can relax and enjoy the holiday spirit with my family here! Hoping to get some presents under that tree very soon. Yay!

It's Movember!

In case you aren't familiar with Movember, it's Moustache November- it's a cause to raise money and awareness about prostate cancer and lots and lots of men across the country are growing out MOUSTACHES! A ton of guys at my work are participating and we are having a little happy hour tonight to finish the month off. 

Not to be left out, I made myself a moustache really quickly just sewing some fabric and stuffing it and hot gluing it onto some chopsticks. Classy, I know. I think I look pretty good with a moustache - what about you?

I started on this paint by numbers picture yesterday- it's so addictive I had to force myself to stop and get some sleep.

Denise Interchangeable Needles

So A long time ago I bought this set of interchangeable knitting needles, but lost them during a move. I have never purchased another set- because I had always hoped that maybe the needles would turn up somewhere someday- but I've finally broken down and repurchased the same exact set. 

I love them! They're pink and part of the money goes to cancer research, so I can purchase these guilt free and get back to knitting whatever I want in sizes 5-15. 

They are the "denise interchangeable needle set". Look it up!

Adventures of the Shizz

Have you all heard about the new series "The Walking Dead" on AMC? It's on Sundays at 10/9 c on AMC. 
My friend Steven Yeun is on the series as Glenn! He's from Michigan! (woot) It's a great show, and is getting a lot of hype. It's about Zombies, but it's based off a comic book series that has a growing cult following.

I was Sailor Moon for Halloween. Google it if you don't know who she is.

She's AMAZING. lol. A lot of people didn't know what I was- but the people who did know were super excited.

My favorite thing is when Chevy is tired. He lets us do anything to him.
